Shop Local This Holiday Season!

Hi friends! Us again, thanks for checking out our journal! We are Calgary event planners and we wanted to pop on here with a little blog post about shopping local this holiday season!

Obviously with everything Covid going on, local businesses are really suffering, some even being forced to close and we don’t want to see that! We have definitely seen that in our industry and among the Calgary wedding planner community! Calgary is full of such amazing, unique creatives and we want to celebrate and support them! So we want to encourage you to consider supporting & shopping local this season and really take into consideration where you spend your hard earned dollars!

Did you know that if every household spent $10/month buying local, the Calgary economy would get a GDP boost of $52 million and would generate an additional 823 jobs in our city?! I found this fact the other day and it absolutely blew my mind, so while we absolutely loved supporting our local businesses before, this really solidifies just how important it actually is!

Here is a list of some of our favourite local businesses that we want to share and help you get to know because we think they are truly AWESOME! Comment on our post and tell us your favourite shops so we can check them out and support!

This new business just recently dropped their first earring collection! The cool thing is they create their collections inspired by strong nurses in their life (which is all too fitting in light of the current pandemic).
